I am currently a stay at home mother, of a four and a half year old girl. Next year she will be entering Kinder Prep at a local private school. We are very excited that she will be able to attend, and know that they demand of this age level will not be too out of control, but would like to give her a head start all the same. A great tool that I have found, that incorporates technology is the website www.starfall.com This tool allows the child to click through a short lesson, and a game for each letter of the alphabet. The phonics based learning site also take us through the steps of learning how to read.
My daughter loves being able to play on the computer, and is learning at this same time. I think it is a wonderful tool for the age group 3-6 years old.
