When I started back to school a few years back, my main goal was to learn. In order to put the courses to good use, I set out to get an Associates in General Studies. Well, tonight, I will walk across the stage to receive my Associates in General Studies as well as an Associates in Science that I earned with this last fall semester (in which I titled my "science semester")
What is the most odd thing, is for years, this degree was all I thought I would obtain. It seemed so far off, and unthinkable to achieve. Now, I almost let this moment slip right past me. I set forth with a new goal last summer, one that requires more schooling. This in my mind put the celebrating of my two year degree on a shelf, but thanks to family and friends, I was reminded it is important to stop and celebrate the little victories along the way. (especially since a year ago, this was the big goal)
Thank you to all my friends and family who helped me get this far! Half way there! RIGHT!!!!!
