I have completed my degree! I unfortunately did not do very well at keeping up with my blog thorough the last part of me earning said degree.
The last semester, August - December 2011, I spent as a student teacher. Eight weeks in middle school and eight weeks in elementary. It was a very fast and busy time, that took just about everything out of me. The rewards, however were great. I LOVED walking out into the McLeod center, with "Pomp and Circumstance" playing overhead.
In the stands sat my mom and dad with their significant others John and Theresa. I also had my brother Chris and my brother Brad with his wife Amanda and their daughter Mackenzie. It was so awesome to see the smiles on all of their faces. My face mirrored theirs, as I felt so accomplished to finish something that I started. A childhood dream forgotten, then restored and seen come true.
I am eager to get my own classroom, but I am enjoying the time of substitute teaching that I am doing right now. I will post more about that as time allows.
